PUKUY
Es una escultura sonora, que conjuga arte, tecnología, antropología, saberes sobre instrumentos musicales andinos y cosmogonía del poblado indígena de Salasaka.
El proyecto se construyó en cuatro fases he involucró la participación de la comunidad: 1.) Talleres de construcción de flautas Pingullos; 2.) Investigación etnográfica sobre la música en la comunidad; 3.) Construcción de la Escultura; y 4.) Composición Sonora y automatización.
La obra permitió el encuentro de diversos sujetos sociales a través de un ritual colectivo y un ejercicio de integración a partir de la dinámica de “Responsabilidades Creativas en Conjunto” que involucró a creadores de instrumentos, músicos folclóricos, músicos académicos, carpinteros e ingenieros en robótica.
PUKUY propició dinámicas basadas en el espíritu social de compartir conocimiento y valoró las epistemologías sonoras de los pueblos y nacionalidades ancestrales, sin invisibilizarlas y sin subalternizar la comunidad.

PUKUY
Sound sculpture that puts together arts, technology, anthropology, andean musical instruments knowledge and the cosmogony of the Salasakas, a indigenous community settled at the centre of Ecuador. The project was built through four thematic stages, all of them carried out in close bond with the cultural group:
1.- “Pingullos” flutes building workshops
2.- The communitie’s music ethnographic research
3.- Sculpture making
4.- Sound composition automation
The piece allowed the encounter of different social personas through a collective ritual and a integration exercise developed from a dynamic called: “Altogether creative responsibilities programme”. The activity involved instrument’s creators, folk and academic musicians, carpenters and robotics engineers working together on a same goal.
Pukuy not only helped to create deep interactions and understandings based on the social feeling of sharing within the collective, but to enhance people’s ancestral knowledge presenting it as a fundamental aspect of the project.
